We also sought to improve the game's flow and introduce new twists that compel players to adapt their strategies during matches rather than relying on the same tactics every time.
The game now breaks rounds down into a series of five rounds that we call a day. The first round of each day always involves adding Lickquidators to your squad. The last round of each day always involves a boss Lickquidator spawning for that round.
At the start of each round, players will be offered a choice between two options. Each option proposes a way to make the game harder with a reward attached. Players can reroll the choices as the rewards and difficulties are randomly generated. Events tend to scale up both rewards and difficulty each day.
Instead of managing which Lickquidators a player brings to each round spawner one by one, players now must manage their own squad exclusively through the events system. Lickquidator Squads are always composed of one type of Lickquidator chosen at the start of a match.
The following Lickquidators are available for Squad Lickquidators:
Lickquidator bosses are much stronger and more powerful versions of regular Lickquidators. Existing Lickquidators have been converted into bosses. They are randomly chosen at the start of each day, giving players four rounds to prepare before having to face off against them. Every day after the first, bosses unlock one more of their special abilities. For example, on Day 2, The Licker boss gains the High Fiber Diet upgrade. The Lickquidators that have been upgraded to bosses are:
Bosses will also feature a cool intro animation at the start of the round to make them feel more menacing.
In order to make guardians stand out even more from each other, Guardians have 2 rewards each that can be offered to them and not other players.
